Gällivare Camping is beautifully located
next to the Vassara River, with view at the Mountain Dundret.
Five-minutes walk to the centre of Gällivare. There you find
shopping, banks, restaurants and a swimming hall. Next to the
camping, the area of the homestead association is situated, where
you find the riverside-café, old buildings and Lappish
tents. The children can visit the forest of the troll Plupp.

open all around the year
In year 2003, we invested in 12 new camping cabins. They have
two separate bedrooms, a small kitchen corner, TV and WC/shower.
We have a new reception with Internet, kiosk and sale of souvenirs
and fishing licenses. In summer, you have access to our service
building (included in price). There you will find a kitchen, TV,
WC/shower, sauna and washing machine.
Reception is open Monday-Friday 08.00-16.00.
High-season (11/5-15/9)
The camping is open Monday-Sunday 8 am-10 pm
Activities
Summertime: Midnight sun tours to the top of
the mountain Dundret, mining tours to LKAB-Aitik, fishing, guided
fishing tours, canoe safari, hiking tracks, guided hiking tours,
playground, green areas and fireplaces.
Wintertime: trail system for snowmobiles and
cross-country tracks are situated next to the camping. Sledge
slopes, rental service for snowmobiles, guided snow mobile tours,
tours with dog sledges and approx 3 kilometres to downhill skiing.
